BARON TELECOMMUNICATIONS WELCOMES JILL BAUMGARTNER TO THE BARON TEAM
January 16, 2012- Bellingham, Wash.  Baron Telecommunications is pleased to announce the addition of Jill Baumgartner to the staff in the capacity of Accounting Manager. Baumgartner brings over twenty years of accounting and management experience to the position.  Her specialties include financial statements and analysis.  Jill received her Finance degree from Michigan State University.  When Jill is not crunching numbers, she and her husband enjoy raising their two teenage daughters and experiencing the beautiful Northwest sunsets with a good glass of wine.

BARON TELECOMMUNICATIONS' SALES AND TECH STAFF BECOME POLYCOM CERTIFIED
August 5, 2011- Bellingham, Wash.  Baron Telecommunications is pleased to announce that members of the management team have recently become Sales and Technically certified for the Polycom Wireless line of products.  Baron's Operations Manager Marc Drost, Sales Manager Rick Staeb and System Consultant Karl Washburn have completed the Polycom courses. Polycom is the world wide leader in Wireless communication with a rich history as a market innovator in mobile communications in the workplace.  Combining Polycom's world wide presence with Baron Telecommunications' nearly 60 years of doing business locally, Baron's customers are assured a complete and thorough solution to their wireless communication needs.

BARON TELECOMMUNICATIONS’ PAT ALEXANDER SAILS THROUGH SHORETEL TECHINICAL CERTIFICATION
February 10, 2011- Bellingham, Wash.  Baron Telecommunications Senior Solutions Technician Pat Alexander recently completed ShoreTel’s Expanded Champion Partner Technical Certification.  Pat’s recent test results have enabled him to achieve the highest level of Certification in both of ShoreTel’ Categories for Technical Training; Design Installer and Advanced Engineering. 

According to Pat, “I really enjoy the certification process because I always learn about another cool feature that makes ShoreTel such a great product.  They are constantly improving the ShoreTel product and want the technicians at the dealer level be on top of the latest upgrade”.  In Pat’s 18 years with Baron Telecommunications he has taken many classes to increase his certification with both of Baron’s superior products, ShoreTel and Toshiba.  

BARON TELECOMMUNICATIONS’ SHORETEL VOIP PRODUCT NAMED BEST IN THE INDUSTRY FOR SEVENTH YEAR IN A ROW
September 30, 2010- Bellingham, Wash. Baron Telecommunications is pleased to announce that for the seventh straight year, Nemertes Research awards ShoreTel Best IP Telephony Provider-Market Challengers. Phil Bratt, President of Baron Telecommunications stated, “what is so great about this news it that again, it is the ShoreTel customers that rate its technology, customer service, and value highest in the industry”.

Earlier this month, ShoreTel, the leading provider of brilliantly simple IP phone systems, received the highest ratings for IP telephony products from IT decision makers in Nemertes Research annual benchmark. Nemertes, an independent research firm based in Illinois, received ratings for 37 IP telephony vendors and determined the award solely on the views and experiences of more than 2,000 actual users of IP telephony systems.

ShoreTel continues to win by a significant margin in all areas evaluated, beating all providers, including Cisco, Avaya, and Mitel, in all categories. “ShoreTel has maintained its first-place standing, with more authority than ever,” the report states. “This year, ShoreTel is the winner with an impressive 4.22 overall score.” The next highest overall score from a competing vendor was 3.90. “Our customers in Whatcom, Skagit and Snohomish Counties are finding communications challenges specific to their business are readily solved with ShoreTel’s IP telephony”, said Phil Bratt. “They’re particularly pleased when they realize how affordable the solutions compare to the alternatives”.
